Another gem from the internet. There's a free reading of Herodotus describing the Spartans at the battle of Thermopylae available from Naxos Audiobooks. It's a 2.7 Mb file and it lasts 7 or 8 minutes. There's also a brief sample from the introduction describing the growth of the Persian Empire and the beginnings of the Persian Wars. Recommended.
