This post marks two important milestones.
The first is: these units are the final infantry units of my Arab Conquest ADLG (Art de la Guerre) army. I now have all the infantry I need including many variants and most options. I have bought some Daylami but they will have to wait until I've done the cavalry.
I'm writing this during a break in the seemingly endless decorating and is about as close to wargaming as I'm going to get until the end of February.
After more than 25 years in our current home it's time to move on. It's the usual set of motivations for people in retirement: fewer stairs, closer to family, move while we're fit & healthy, etc.
Our house is the one with the car parked on the drive. From a hobby perspective I've had a great painting desk on the middle floor with lots of natural light. The room also doubled as a home office.
