Sunday saw our annual visit to Yorkshire and the Vapnartak show at the
Racecourse. We made a weekend of things staying at the Holiday Inn across
the Knavesmire from the Racecourse.
Saturday became increasingly cold and we cut short the shopping to get warm and
only just made it back to the hotel before the snow came.
Sunday morning was brilliant! We decided to leave the car at
the hotel and take the short cut across the Knavesmire to the show. This
what we saw as we set out:
Strangely it was a lot closer than the picture suggests and the snow was quite
dry so our feet didn’t get wet as my wife’s smile shows:
Like many others the shopping at the show was a little rushed as we wanted to
get away before the freeze. Even so I was surprised to arrive in the North
West to find no snow at all. The wonders of the British weather.
